Natural Heritage Details: One mature ash tree and 3 hawthorn tress; Site overgrown with nettles, semi-natural grasses and thistles.
Description: Located in a flat pasture field within the Prumpelstown House Demesne. It is a small oval-shaped mound c. 2m above the surrounding ground level. No visible headstones. There are numerous larger stones (mostly granite, some limestone) randomly spread across the site which are probably the remains of St Michael's Church. The vegetation was too dense to allow for a for a more detailed inspection. The OS map of 1837 shows a 'graveyard' and 'site of St Michael's Church'.
Appraisal: The site is of archaeological interest with barely discernable traces of the foundations of the E and S walls of the former St Michael's Church.. An aerial photograph shows the graveyard in the NW corner, of which there is no trace surviving.
