Description: The site is located at the NW end of the town of Rathangan. The associated church is marked on both the 1st edition OS 6" map and the 1897-1913 OS 25" map, but the graveyard is only specifically mentioned on the latter. The site is accessed via a long tree-lined driveway from the R401. The functioning Church of Ireland Church occupies the centre of the western half of the burial area. Paths provide limited access to the graves. The ground surface is fairly even and the grass is short. Most gravestones are located east of the church. Table tombs and slabs account for approx. 5% of all grave markers. Gravestones date from 18th-21st century.
Appraisal: A 19th century graveyard which contains various cut-stone grave markers of marble, limestone, metal, chained and polished granite. The styles are kerbed, obelisk, table, railed and rectangular shaped headstones, which are of some local social, artistic and local historic interest.
